Does NoteBrew work with any YouTube video?

Any video with captions — auto-generated or manually uploaded — works. Videos without captions can't be transcribed.

Do I need an account?

No. NoteBrew runs entirely in your browser. Your projects are saved to local storage on your device.

Which AI models are supported?

Gemini 2.5/3, GPT-5, and Claude Sonnet via the Lovable AI Gateway. Pick the model that fits your speed and depth needs.

Can I edit the generated notes?

Yes. Every note is editable markdown before export. You can also re-generate with a different style or model.

What if the transcript fetch fails?

We retry through multiple providers automatically. If YouTube is rate-limiting our servers, paste the transcript manually to keep going.

Is my data private?

Projects are stored locally in your browser. Only the transcript text is sent to the AI provider for generation.
